The Role

A role of a Functional Process Expert (FPE) is exactly what is says on the tin, to be a subject matter expert whilst delivering requirements and needs of the business. It is important as an FPE to hold strong technical skills and the ability to communicate to key stakeholders and partners.

Key Responsibilities of the Functional Process Expert Include:

  • Development, improvement and implementation of business processes
  • Convert business needs in to functional requirements
  • Cultivate a robust solution that is strategically aligned to business needs to deliver fit-for-purpose applications
  • Overseeing SAP and non-SAP technical and applicational changes
  • Working with global cross functional teams to understand business requirement gaps and design new solutions
  • Promote and implement best practices to reach business long term goals
  • Manage and perform test activities ensuring process efficiency
  • Identify any test automation opportunities or areas for development and improvement in both legacy/non-SAP systems
  • Troubleshoot and construct solutions to complex requirements
  • Overseeing test script creation and execution
  • Controlling the day-to-day activities of the project to meet the Sponsor’s specified outputs for the project
  • Liaises with internal stakeholders and colleagues as necessary to ensure successful implementation
  • Implement and adhere to company Policies, Standards and Standard Operating Procedures

A bit about you

We're looking for Functional Process Expert who have experience of technology implementation - in both packaged ERP and developed applications.

You're likely to have cut your teeth in a large consulting firm or corporation where you've been in the thick of Programme delivery or Project Portfolio Management and delivered training on large scales.

You will:

  • Have a desire and energy to work at pace, deliver quality, collaborate effectively, and have a mindset and personality to resolve and drive through solutions to problems.
  • Experience on large scale business projects
  • In depth knowledge of business processes and any relevant workstream experience
  • Have the ability to encourage and influence others to seek and create innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities.
  • Be quality and improvement focussed, with good attention to detail, whilst maintaining a good dose of pragmatism.
  • Be able to manage resources and work to a strict deadline
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Be proficient in managing complex project plans.
  • Have previous experience operating with third party supplier/vendors.
  • Have advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.

You must be able to work in the UK and Europe without the need for a Visa or sponsorship.
