The Role

Testing is of critical importance in IT, but often it is compromised by a lack of understanding of the business processes, the required outcomes, the priority of the testing and the level of manual effort involved in testing.

At Resulting we're helping clients put the focus back on quality, whilst taking some of the guesswork out of testing. We have partnered with Tricentis, the market leader in Test Automation, to advise clients on how to revolutionise their Testing using the Tricentis suite of tools as well as delivering best in class testing.

The SAP Test Architect role is at the heart of our Testing and Test Automation capability, enabling clients to drive efficiency throughout major programmes and in continuous improvement. This a lead role, the individual will be someone who feels equally comfortable managing complex testing engagements, as advising clients on best practice, or getting their hands dirty speccing and installing the right tooling to deliver best in class testing.

A bit about you

We're looking for someone with deep testing experience, ideally within an SAP or other ERP context. Knowledge of test automation and other tools is essential, we're Tricentis partners and so experience in qTest, Tosca and/or Livecompare would be valuable, but we will also provide training in these if for example your experience comes from something else like Worksoft.

You're likely to have managed testing on an ERP programme, or in an IT support organisation. You will have been involved in test tool install, and test automation set up.

  • Design and develop Test Automation Strategy and Design with clients
  • Responsible for working with clients and internal team to implement Test Infrastructure, environments and software
  • Liaise with teams, such as on Programmes, or in Agile/DevOps Support environments, to build cohesive Continuous Testing models
  • Advise Test Specialists in the Resulting and Client team on Tosca and other related product Best Practices
  • Provide technical support to other Test Managers to assist in achieving their strategic goals for the Test Team
  • Possess broad awareness of testing approaches, practices and techniques design and deliver the overall testing methodology used by the team
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the testing function and bring about improvements through insights gained via analysis at all stages of the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) and the Software Test Life cycle (STLC)
  • Identify what tools and technologies can be utilized, aligning with those already in use in the specific client context (for example SAP Solution Manager)
  • Provide technical know-how, documentation, and training to the Test Team and other business functions involved in execution or support of testing
  • Stay up to speed on process, practice and technology developments to ensure they are brought in-house and enhance Resultings solutions to Client testing problems
  • Deep technical knowhow, deep knowledge of Software Testing practices
  • Review Test Cases and Repository health
  • Project Management experience (optional)
  • Test Automation experience (Tosca preferred)
  • Experience leading teams
  • Experience working in Waterfall, Agile and potentially DevOps environments
  • You'll have the ability to challenge stakeholders and to hold them to account for testing deliverables and actions.
  • You'll be able to support the Test Capability Lead in advising Clients and others on testing best practice, both for manual and automated testing

In addition you will have good interpersonal skills, communicate clearly and effectively and be able to work both independently as well as part of a wider team.

You must be able to work in the UK and Europe without the need for a Visa or sponsorship as we cannot provide Visa sponsorship.
