The Role

We are looking for a Test Lead who will be accountable for the test approach, planning execution and reporting for all test phases across a release.

The Test Manager will coordinate all activities and dependencies of both programme and business lead testing to ensure requirements have been met and accepted by business owners of the solution.


The role will involve test planning and preparation including:

  • Define or update of the standard Test Approach as required to support the target
  • Reviewing the set of entry and exit criteria for all test cycles to ensure all required checks are in place
  • Ensure all scope for test cycles is documented and approved
  • Determine test process training requirements, schedule and conduct targeted training accordingly (how to create defect, create script, etc.)
  • Coordinate with the various functional, technical and business teams to ensure all testing activities meet quality and completeness requirements
  • Representative at all environment meetings to ensure all test environment and test data requirements are understood by test team
  • Ensure entry and exit gates are conducted on time for all phases with all exceptions and risk clearly communicated
  • Day-to-Day management of the tests resources assigned to support test planning and test execution
  • Ensure adherence to the agreed standardised defect management process by all participants across all phases
  • Ensure lessons learned are documented during each stage of each phase to support continuous improvement initiative
  • Ensuring requirements to test case traceability is achieved completely and accurately
  • Ensure the test case quality standards are adhered to for all phases within the Wave
  • Ensuring the defect management process is strictly followed
  • Ensure clear, concise, and accurate comms and reports are published to stakeholders so status, risk and issue positions are clear
  • Review and confirm the EOD status reports are correct and complete before they are published
  • Ensure test closure reports are provided before each phase completion date
  • Follow up on test actions to ensure the required progress has been made and provide direction on what corrective actions are needed.

A bit about you

  • At least five years’ experience in testing ERP solutions, including any interface  components
  • Experience working on a global ERP implementation programmes (SAP / SalesForce / Workday)
  • Solid knowledge of SAP modules and functionality
  • At least three years’ experience in a lead role and active participation in planning and managing formal testing phases (including functional, integration, end-to-end, user acceptance)
  • Experience in test planning and prioritisation processes
  • Strong stakeholder and people management skills.
  • Experienced in IT delivery supporting business transformation programmes.
  • Experience using multiple resource models including domestic, offshore, onshore and multi-country teams.
  • Ability to apply testing processes and terminology to practical scenarios, supported by excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to report and support communication to multiple levels of stakeholders.


You must be able to work in the UK without the need for a Visa or sponsorship. You will be happy to travel on a regular basis and be based on client site as required.
